If you can identify this bug please do so in the comments below. The pod that it is resting on is a Pink Butterfly Plant.

Update: I ran across this bug again and I found it to be a form of katydid, correct me if I am wrong...

Visitor On The Pink Butterfly Plant


Believe it or not these flowers from The Pink Butterfly Plant are very tiny and that insect on the flowers is even smaller! The Pink Butterfly Plant blooms in mid to late June here in Michigan and attracts... you guessed in Butterflies! You can purchase seeds for these plants at my other site here!

These red flying beetles seem to be attracted to this type of plant. I am not sure why, but all of these plants were covered with this type of beetles. Below you can see the pods opening up and the seeds fly out like milk weed. Pretty crazy! You can learn more or purchase these plants here!
